Google sheets have a few very useful and free of cost add-on, Search Analytics for Sheets is one of them. It permits fetching grouped and filtered data from GSC (via its API), as per requirement and creates monthly automated backups.

Steps towards installation of Search Analytics for sheets are pretty simple. There are two ways in which it can be done.

(a) Install from Chrome Web Store or
(b) Through Google Sheets – Add-ons

Steps
1. Create a new Google Spread Sheet.
2. On the Menu bar go to Add-ons >>> Get Add-ons
3. Next look out for Search Analytics for sheets.
4. Install it. (Accept permission request dialogue to access Google Analytics data.)
5. Once that is done open a spreadsheet where the add-on is to be used.
6. Next Go to Add-ons -> Search Analytics for Sheets -> Open Sidebar.
7. Authorize it with a GSC account (make sure that Sheets are logged in with GSC account, then close the window once it says it was successful)

*Note: This needs to be done once per user account, once the add-on is installed, it will be available for all the spreadsheets.

• Select the website
• Select preferred date intervals (by default minimum and maximum dates available in GSC are captured)
• In the Group field, select “Query,” then “Page”
